My doctor told me my PSA had gone down to 0.1. Is this possible to go from a PSA of 6.7 before treatment and 0.1 after 43 treatments.I also had one shot of Lupron approx. 90 days prior to treatments began.

The PSA drop to 0.1 ng/ml is very reasonable in your case. However, it is likely this decline reflects the impact of the Lupron as well as the radiation therapy. You will gain a clearer picture as your testosterone recovers. Depending on how aggressive your cancer is, at my clinic, AIDP http://www.prostateteam.com/, we would normally do blood tests every month or every three months. We would measure PSA, testosterone, dihydrotestosterone and 25-hydroxyvitamin D.
