On Wednesday and Thursday, the House will meet at 10:00 a.m. for Morning
Hour debate and 12:00 p.m. for legislative business. H.R. 2219, the
Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2012 (Rep. Young (FL) –
Appropriations), has been placed on the House calendar for then.

As part of H.R. 2219 the Senate had passed legislation that would fund the Prostate Cancer Research Program at a rate of 60 million dollars for fiscal year 2012. This is a 20 million dollar cut, but the program will be funded.

Due to the nature of the debate in the House we still remain at risk of there being amendments introduced by House members that could further reduce, or even eliminate the program.

We must not allow this to happen.

Please let your member of the House no that you will not tolerate any amendments to the proposed funding.
