This is an actual conversation I overheard between my wife and my little boy today.Â
“Mommy look – ah, ah, achoo!”
“Was that a fake sneeze?” She asked smiling.
“Don’t say that dirty word!”
“That’s not a dirty word, Devin. ‘Fake’ means pretend or not real.” He thought about it.
“Mommy I’m not your friend. I’m not talking to you. You have a stinky mouth.”
And he stopped talking her.
If they ever do a toddler def comedy jam- Devin could most certainly be the headliner. Your kid cracks me up!
Kids…gotta love them, right?
Kids are unique little people who give their version of things
I don’t mean to blow your blog up with comments here but you know what that little act of righteousness makes me think? It makes me think that even at the tender age of 3 or 4 he feels that when something is wrong its wrong and when its right its right. That says to me your little guy, has a good head on his shoulders and can stand up for what he thinks is right. This was a small (hilarious) moment, but it could be a glimpse into the strong man he will be as he is further guided by strong parenting. Small kid, big personality, even bigger future. That seems clear to me.
Smiles to you and yours,
Austin
