Many of us survivors have concluded we are better off having cancer.
How can we be better off, we’re going to die.
Yes, that is true, but so are you.

I know what my fate has in store, so I can appreciate today.
You go through the motions, and then without warning
You too will die

I will have said my goodbyes, tell my family I love them.
Live what time is left and appreciate it all
You have not been given the gift I have , the gift of cancer
