“The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions, and not on our circumstances. We carry the seeds of the one or the other about with us in our minds wherever we go.”
— Martha Washington
Developing a positive attitude can play an important role in how you live the rest of your life and how you react to the challenges of treatment. You can decide to have a positive attitude by taking control of your mind and feelings so that your life is filled with hope for the future.
See yourself as a person who no matter what happens is in love with life.
See your life as filled with wonder, everyday is to be enjoyed and appreciated.
Recognize that your spirit can never be taken from you, it can only be given up by you.
Remember that whenever a door closes there will be at least three more new doors open as you move foward.
Be open and receptive to new feelings and experiences for they create fulfillment in your life.
No matter what happens or where you are, stop and become aware of the beauty that is around you. Even a rain storm provides calm and peace. Hear the sound of the water hitting the leaves and smell the ozone after the lightening. Take in all that surrounds you, drink it and see its wonder.
Remember, you can provide the world with goodness, just decide to do it.
You and only you are responsible for your thoughts and actions today, remember they will be responsible for what happens tomorrow.
You matter and you still effect your world.
Life always invites participation and only you choose how to participate.
Forget what you do not have, the only thing that is important is what you do have.
Be particularly grateful for the love in your life, and for having been given the opportunity to have lived.
Your attitude determines what tomorrow will be.

Joel,
Enjoyed your comments and found myself agreeing with you.
We are in charge of our attitudes!
Thanks for the reminder.
