Dear President Obama,
Prostate cancer will hit one in every six American men. This means that one in every six families will also be affected by prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the second biggest cancer killer of American men.
Sadly, many people don’t know that prostate cancer kills so many men. Prostate cancer is a serious disease that kills too many men. This epidemic crosses into all communities but strikes hardest in the poor and minority communities where education and awareness is lacking.
I ask that during the month of September, Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, you light the White House in blue lights to help all people become aware of this pervasive and potentially fatal disease.
Turning on blue lights can save a life!
Thank you for your consideration.

This is a letter that I wrote a few days ago to President Obama. We have started a grassroots movement to increase awareness of prostate cancer in the United States. In addition to Malecare, many other prostate cancer advocacy organizations have decided to ban together to support the grass roots movement to, “Light the White House Blue during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month”.
Please join us and send an email, posted a letter or make a phone call to the White House asking to light the White House in blue during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Think how great it would be to see pictures of the White House bathed in blue while television and radio commentators help to spread the word about prostate cancer. Think of how many lives you might help to save by performing a simple act.
To send an email go to:

Select “Non-policy issue” and “First Family” in the pull down menu. Let’s see if we can put some grass roots into action.
