I woke up this morning to some potentially good news. Last night the congressional committee finalized their reconciliation report and filed the final FY12 Omnibus Report.

I am over joyed to report that the Report included the Peer Reviewed Compressional Directed Medical Research Programs that had become the target of budget cutters. Many of us worked hard to preserve the programs and it looks as if we have accomplished our goal.

Thanks to everyone who responded to call to action and helped us keep the Prostate Cancer Peer Review program alive.

The following is the link to the final report. See page 282 where the CDMRPS are listed.

I have been told by the “experts” that this Report could be acted on by both Houses and become final by this weekend. We are not done yet, but we are clearly in the home stretch with a victory for all of us in the near future.
