The Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee (MEDCAC) which is the committee that provides advice and recommendations concerning the adequacy of scientific evidence needed to determine whether certain medical items and services can be covered under the Medicare statute (U.S.) has scheduled a public meeting on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. This meeting will examine currently available evidence on the use of Radiation Therapy for Localized Prostate Cancer.
According to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (5 U.S.C. App. 2, section 10(a) this meeting is open to the general public. For those who might be interested in the meeting, but unable to attend (in Washington) there will be a special Webinar.

Registration is limited and will be closed at 5pm eastern time on April 19, 2010. Be aware that this Webinar is listening only, you will not be able ask questions or interact with the meeting participants.
