Either my little guy knows he’s the financially unfortunate offspring of a non-profit operations director, and a social worker, or we’re raising the next Earl Graves (a.k.a. Publisher and Board Chairman of Black Enterprise magazine)….
A few days ago my little guy walked over to his mother with one of his old Thomas the Tank Engine books, and said, “Mommy, I’m going to sell this book on eBay.” He wasn’t smiling. His mother started giggling, which usually gets him going. Still no smiling; he was all business. Â
I’m feeling the kid’s entrepreneurial spirit!
If the book sells I may try to talk Clare into selling some Dora books. Can Devin give some inspirational lessons to her in entrepreneurship?
Lil’ man needs his own tv show (or, rather, tv needs him).
Also, while ebaY isn’t hurting for cash, these days, a commercial depicting the above exchange between your son and wife would make a bigger impression than those “It” ads.
OMGD!!! I feel so old…in my days it was garage sales..kids have moved up to ebay already…Sad part is…he might actually get someone to buy it!!!
*lol* I love that kid!! Hey, let him sell the books and put all the money is a seperate account. He’s a mogul in the making.
Lol I love it! Today ebay- tomorrow THE WORLD. I can’t wait to see his grade school debut on wall street.
a four-year old wanting to sell on eBay! WOW! i think you’re housing the next Donald Trump!
he is the funniest baby boy in blogland. I’m sure he can find a way to flip that truth into some hardcore cash…just give him a minute.
;O)
AHA!! Maybe he can be my Commerce Secretary in training!
That’s great. He’s a little business man in the making. How cute.
While we were coming home this weekend we saw two little kids sitting on the curb with a sign saying “Bike Wash” we were cracking up and thinking how cute they were to be out their trying to earn money so young.
LOL! Next thing you know, he’s going to be taping construction paper to his face to try to emulate Mr. Graves’ sideburns and announcing a la Trump, “You’re fired!”
Hey Keith, you and mamma should put him in charge of the next yard sale. Be sure to keep current issues of BE in front of him too. I grew up reading it myself and it’s one of many reasons I still strive to ultimately be my own business owner. I’m pushing 40 but dang it, it’s going to happen.
Also, can you add an e-mail feed option to your site? Personally I prefer that to regular RSS.
Thanks…….Marty
