Cancer Care has announced two changes in their financial assistance program procedures. These changes take effect immediately:

1- Applications for assistance will not be accepted unless the applicant has spoken to a Cancer Care representative in advance of filling out the application. To apply contact a Cancer Care oncology social worker via their toll-free Hopeline, 800-813-HOPE (4673). The Hopeline is open from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. EST Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m, EST on Friday.

Applications will still be viewable on their website, it will no longer be possible to download them as they will now be bar coded.

2- In addition, their our eligibility requirements have also changed. The new eligibility requirements are:

Income levels will be set at 250% of the federal poverty limit (FPL).
