Prostate Cancer affects the lives of millions of Americans. Whether by diagnosis, treatment costs, lost work and family hours and, even death, prostate cancer cause pain throughout our nation, every minute of every day.
Mr. President, please light the White House blue to honor the more than 340,000 American men who have died from prostate cancer in the past decade; for the more than 228,000 new cases that will be diagnosed this year; for African-American men who are 60 percent more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer and 2.4 times more likely to die from it and for the nearly 2.5 million American men and their families who are currently challenged by this cancer.
We rally in support of lighting 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the people’s house, blue, during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, September, 2017.
