At last year’s PCRI Patient Conference Dr. Eugene Kwon from the Mayo Clinic gave a talk about the use of the C-11 Choline PET Scan for me with castrate resistant prostate cancer who have had a recurrence. Specifically, he described his patients as “Failure Patients” or advanced prostate cancer patients who have failed primary treatments as well as other post primary treatment therapies. He discussed and gave clinical examples of patients he has seen and the value the C-11 scans were in helping him eliminate the recurrent prostate cancers found by the scans.

The video is available at:

C-11 Choline scans are only available at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Mi. and are only effective once your PSA has reached 2.0.

C-11 Choline Scans are an excellent next step for any of us who have recurrent prostate cancer and should be considered as a treatment step.

Appointments with Dr. Kwon are available at: (507) 284-2511. Please note that neither Malecare nor I receive any referral benefits of any type from the Mayo Clinic or from Dr. Kwon.

Also, I want to let you know that the 2013 PCRI Patient Conference is scheduled for early this September. This conference is the very best for prostate cancer education and I very strongly recommend that any man with prostate cancer and their family members attend this conference.
