Henry,
I hear you and understand where you are coming from. I was diagnosed with a very agressive prostate cancer in Dec 10. I had a robotic prostetectomy. At first I was just grateful to survive but then reality hit. I was wetting my pants, suffered from ED and had pain in my left testicle. Working hard and following my Dr.'s direction, I was able to overcome the incontinence issue. The rest is the same and sometimes I feel as you do but, I still believe there are options to improve my quality of life.
Let me know if you wantto talk

Most of what I read here pertains to prostate, oral, or anal cancer. I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in January that had spread to my lymph system in my abdomen and grown into my left ureter and IVC causing blood clots. They did an emergency radical inguinal orchiectomy in January, and after my pulmonary embolism in February, they began what my chemo nurses called "really agressive chemo." I've asked my doctors about what to expect of sex when I'm "healed" and they just shrug. I'm not defined by my sexuality but it's a huge part of who I am and at 32 I'm not ready to give up that part of my life. Does anyone have any history similar to mine that can shed some light on what to expect? Will the blood thinners cause ED? Can I have a fulfilling sex life with only one testicle?

This would be my first PCa specific advocacy involvement, but I have long been a fundraiser for cancer-related charities and organizations. Otherwise, I think my qualifications are strong. Expect my application!

My heart goes out to these men. I cannot understand how women they dated could be so shallow. I am dating a man who has medical issues that make intercourse impossible. And in case you're wondering, we have been dating for two years, and he was like that when we met.For me there is no issue. We have interests in common and we always laugh together. He is kind, intelligent, and loves my family. I know that he would help me if anything happened to me. All of this means more to me than erections. And besides, we DO have a sexual life, just without intercourse. Don't lose hope, guys. The
right person will love you as you are.
